Humidity Metrology
Standard
Condensation dew point hygrometers constitute the national measurement standard for dew point. Traceability in relative humidity is obtained via salt solutions. In both cases, the highest level reference standards are calibrated at an accredited laboratory or at a national metrology institute that is a signatory of the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement. The Humidity Laboratory is accredited by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS).
