Tender Results

1. NMISA-09-T0002 - NMISA Insurance Tender

Results of Insurance Tender: The NMISA has appointed Glenrand M.I.B as its Insurance Broker.

The NMISA would like to thank all companies who have tendered.

2. NMISA-10-T0001 - IT Infrastructure Tender

Results of IT Infrastructure Tender: The NMISA has appointed TENET (Tertiary Education and Research Network of South Africa) as its Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Background: As a Type 3A Public Entity that reports to the dti, the NMISA qualifies to be connected to the SANReN (South African National Research Network) network.

TENET is the only provider to operate the transmission and routing infrastructure of the SANReN network, and is responsible for arranging peering and transit agreements with other research networks and with commercial ISP's locally and worldwide for the SANReN network.

As part of our tender the NMISA would prefer to have a "Hosted Exchange Solution" option. TENET does not provide this service and the NMISA has chosen Acctech Systems to provide the necessary infrastructure to host our E-Mail Exchange Solution.

The NMISA would like to thank all the companies who have tendered to host the NMISA's IT Infrastructure.
