Accreditation
Certain of the NMISA methods and their associated uncertainties are accredited by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS). Not all accreditation scopes have been updated from CSIR NML to NMISA. A scanned copy of any updated scopes are available in the table below. The other scopes points to the old documents as stored on the SANAS web site. The list will be updated when new scopes are received from SANAS.

International recognition of results
South Africa is a signatory of the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). The MRA has amongst its objectives to provide for the mutual recognition of calibration and measurement certificates issued by NMIs. Certain of NMISA calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) are declared in Appendix C of the MRA. A list of our CMCs are available on the Key Comparison Database (KCDB) web site or from this quick link.
